# Clearskies Recorder

> Record your calls from your Mac with the Clearskies Recorder and have every recording, transcript, and summary land in your Context Graph automatically, linked to the right account, contacts, and deal.

## How it works

The Clearskies Recorder is a macOS app that records the calls you join from your computer. Nothing joins the meeting: there is no bot in the participant list, and no one has to admit anything. The app records on your Mac, uploads the recording when you stop, and Clearskies takes it from there.

Once a recording finishes, Clearskies:

* Transcribes the call and writes a summary
* Matches the participants to the people and accounts already in your Context Graph, so the call shows up on the right account and deal
* Makes the transcript and summary available everywhere your other call sources are: Ask AI, pre-call briefs, post-call workflows, and any agent you build

If your team already uses Gong, Fathom, Fireflies, Granola, or Scratchpad, the Recorder sits alongside them as one more call source. It is a direct way to get calls into Clearskies when you don't have a call recorder yet, or when some of your team's meetings don't happen on the platform your recorder covers.

The Recorder is available for macOS only. On Windows, connect Gong, Fathom, Fireflies, Granola, or Scratchpad as your call source instead.

## What you'll need

* A Mac
* A Clearskies account (you sign in to the app with your Clearskies email)
* Your calendar connected to Clearskies, if you want the app to show your upcoming meetings

## Setup steps

### 1. Download and install

Download the app from [app.clearskies.cc/downloads/macos](https://app.clearskies.cc/downloads/macos) and install it.

### 2. Sign in

Open the app and sign in with your Clearskies account.

### 3. Grant permissions

If macOS asks for permission to record, allow it so the app can capture your calls.

### 4. Record a call

Your upcoming meetings appear in the app once your calendar is connected. Recording a meeting from that list links the recording to the calendar event, so the call lands on the right meeting in Clearskies. You can also start a recording for an ad hoc call that isn't on your calendar.

## After the call

When you stop recording, the app uploads the call and Clearskies processes it. Open the call in Clearskies to see the summary and the full transcript alongside the recording, and to confirm or change which account and deal it is attached to.

If a transcript can't be produced, the call shows as failed rather than staying in progress, so you know to re-record or reach out.

What gets recorded is decided in the app on your Mac, not on Clearskies' servers, and Clearskies applies no filters of its own to what the app uploads. Whether internal calls are included in your Context Graph is a workspace-wide setting that applies to every call source, including the Recorder.

## You're all set

Your calls now flow into your Context Graph as you record them. Every summary, brief, and workflow that reads your calls will include them automatically.
