# GitHub

> Connect GitHub to sync pull request activity from selected repositories into your Clearskies Context Graph, giving your agents visibility into engineering work alongside CRM, calls, and email.

## How it works

The GitHub integration syncs pull request activity from repositories you select into your Context Graph. Your agents can then draw on engineering work alongside CRM, calls, email, and Slack.

You choose which repositories are in scope. Nothing syncs from a repository you haven't selected, and removing a repository removes its activity from your Context Graph.

GitHub activity is pulled every 15 minutes. When you connect GitHub or add a new repository, Clearskies imports the last 90 days of pull request activity for that repository as a backfill.

## What gets synced

For each selected repository, Clearskies syncs pull request activity across all states:

* Pull requests authored, merged, and closed
* Reviews on pull requests
* Commits on pull requests
* Labels on pull requests

Pull request and issue comments are not synced. Ticket codes referenced in branch names (for example, `ENG-1234`) are captured so activity can be linked back to the relevant work.

## What you'll need

* GitHub organization **owner** access to install the Clearskies GitHub App
* The list of repositories you want Clearskies to sync

## Setup steps

### 1. Open Context Graph in Clearskies

Log in to [Clearskies](https://app.clearskies.cc) and open **Context Graph** from the main navigation.

### 2. Start the GitHub connection

Select **GitHub** in the list of available data sources and click **Connect**. You'll be redirected to GitHub to install the Clearskies GitHub App.

### 3. Install the Clearskies GitHub App

Choose the GitHub organization to install into, then select the repositories you want Clearskies to access. You can grant access to all repositories or a specific subset. Click **Install** to complete the installation.

*Note: If you cannot install the app, you are not an owner of the GitHub organization. Contact your GitHub admin to complete the installation.*

### 4. Return to Clearskies and select repositories

After installation, you'll be returned to Clearskies. On the GitHub integration page, select the repositories you want to sync into your Context Graph.

Adding a repository triggers a 90-day backfill of its pull request activity. Removing a repository removes its activity from your Context Graph.

### 5. Verify connection

The GitHub tile on the **Context Graph** page shows as **Connected**. Pull request activity from your selected repositories will begin syncing within 15 minutes.
