If you are the first from your org to sign up for Clearskies and start setting up your team’s workspace, you automatically become the Clearskies admin. But that doesn’t mean you have admin permissions in every tool you want to connect. Connecting data sources to your Customer Context Graph - like Salesforce, Google Workspace, Gong, Scratchpad, or Slack - often requires admin-level permissions in those external systems. If you’re not an admin in a particular tool, you’ll hit a permissions wall during the connection step. This is normal. Here’s what to do.Documentation Index

Why you’re seeing a permissions error
Clearskies connects to your tools via OAuth or API integrations. Many of these tools restrict who can authorize third-party connections. If you don’t have admin access in the tool you’re trying to connect, you’ll need someone who does to complete the connection for you. What to do next
Step 1: Identify the right person. Figure out who administers the tool you’re trying to connect. This is usually someone in IT, RevOps, or Sales Ops. If you’re not sure, check your company’s internal directory. Step 2: Send them the message below. Copy, paste, and customize the template. It gives your admin the context they need to help you connect quickly. Step 3: Once the tool admin has created a Clearskies account, go to the Clearskies app and click your org’s domain name in the top left → Settings → Users. Then update their role to Admin. Step 4: When they’ve completed the connection, head back to your Clearskies setup flow. It should reflect the updated connections.Message template for Tool Admins

FAQs
- Can the tool admin complete the connection without a Clearskies account?
No — the connection needs to be completed from within your Clearskies workspace. The easiest path is to have the admin join Clearskies using your organization’s email domain. You (the Clearskies admin) then need to provision the user as a Clearskies admin; within app.clearskies.cc, navigate to your org’s domain name in the top left → Settings → Users. Then update their role to Admin. - I’m not sure who the admin is for [tool]. How do I find out?
A few options: check your company’s IT or internal wiki, ask in a Slack channel like #it-help or #sales-ops, or ask your manager. For Salesforce specifically, you can check Setup → Users to see who has the System Administrator profile.
